Xiaomi the largest smartphone vendor in china has announced Redmi 2 in India with price tag of Rs. 6,999. Join Hugo Barra VP international and Manu Jain Head of India Operations Xiaomi, unveiled Redmi 2 at New Delhi India event.
Redmi 2 is dual SIM 4G device, it has 10% more battery power than Redmi 1S and support Quick Charge 1.0, which is 20% faster than Redmi 1S Twitted by Mi.
Redmi 2 powered with Snapdragon 410, a 64bit architect with quad-core processer clocked at 1.2GHz. Cortex-A53 processor for 30% faster browsing speeds and 50% higher CPU performance. Gaming performance Redmi 2 will gives you Adreno 306 GPU. Redmi 2 comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
It has a Sharp AUO 4.7 inch IPS HD 720 x 1080 PPI display which is fully laminated display for better visual experience and protected with AGC Dragontrail Glass (from Ashai, Japan’s biggest glassmaker, this glass is said to be six times stronger than conventional glass)
For the camera this device will give you 8MP BSI rear camera with 5-element lens along with 2MP front facing camera. You can shoot in HDR, panorama, fisheye also use voice commands plus for low-light performance at night backside illumination (BSI) used.
Redmi 2 has USB OTG support also both SIM support 4G also comes with MEMs noise-cancelling microphones. Redmi 2 runs MIUI 2 skin for more customization and function over Android 4.4 KitKat. This device is thinner and lighter then Redmi 1S. Its is 133g and 9.4mm thinner, rounded corners for and textured back for comfortable grip.
Registration of Redmi2 starts today at 6PM on Flipkart and sales will start on March 24th, currently sale will be for limited edition of Redmi 2.
Xiaomi Mi PAD
Xiaomi has also launched its new Mi Pad in today’s event with priced at Rs. 12,999.
Mi Pad gives you advance graphics features of a gaming with NVIDIA Tegra K1 quad core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz ARM Cortex-a15 processor and perform with 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory and expandable to 128 GB via micro SD card. Mi Pad has fully laminated 7.96 inch 2048 x 1536 resolution IPS display at 326 PPI, 4:3 aspect ratio with Corning Gorilla 3.
For the camera Mi pad shoots with 8MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. A 5MP front facing camera will give you nice selfie. You can also record full HD 1080p video recording. Mi pad can last long with 6700mAH Lithium-ion battery.
